Welcome everyone! If you just came from Crouching Toddler, Hidden Baby, you’re in the right place! If you’re just starting out on the blog circle, welcome aboard!
If you don’t know who I am, my name is Stephanie and I am a Project Lifer. I started Project Life at the beginning of 2013. I have too many kits in both paper and digital because I can’t use just one medium! If you’d like to know more about me, you can check out my “About” page HERE or you can find a drop down menu at the top of the page.
I’ve been pondering my 2014 cover page for a few weeks now and have had many ideas. The other day I had a “light bulb” moment. I was listening to the song “Seasons of Love” from RENT (you can find the song on iTunes HERE). I realized that the main lyrics were perfect for the cover page of my album this year! Here are the lyrics I pulled:
Card 1: Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes
Card 2: How do you measure a year in the life
Card 3: In daylights, in sunsets
Card 4: In midnights, in cups of coffee
Card 5: In inches, in miles
Card 6: In laughter, in strife
Card 7: Measure your life in love
Those lyrics plus Pantone’s new Spring 2014 colors (see them HERE) produced this cover page:

I printed my designs onto the white cardstock 4″x6″ Becky Higgins Project Life Cards. I knew these cards had a decent texture to them so I designed the cards without any extra texture. The purple hearts do have some texture already but it was the same type that is on the blank cards. It actually blends quite nicely. I printed two of the 3″x4″ on a card, cut them apart and rounded the square corners and you can’t tell unless you know which corners to look at! Here are a couple close up photos:
Do you like these cards? Guess what, you can have them for your album too! Below you will find a download with the entire set (four 4″x6″ cards and four 3″x4″ cards) with both round and square corners. Also, there’s a PDF printable file with the square corner cards (I figured you could round them if you wanted to), plus I added a page with a “guide” image so if you want them in the same order, you can see where they go! Each of these cards has NO texture (except the hearts on the bottom left 4″x6″ card) so that if you choose to print them, they will take on the texture of the paper you print them on! You can click on the photo or the “download” text below to grab these cards.
I’m off to do some more post-holiday cleaning, maybe taking down the Christmas Tree or putting away all the new toys! Have a great New Year’s Day!
